We ensure that the legacy of the Selma Voting Rights Movement lives on and that society is knowledgeable of the democratic process through the lenses of humanitarianism, arts and education, health and wellness, and political and economic empowerment.

MOCKINGBIRD COMPANY WILL INSURE THAT THE LITERARY SIGNIFICANCE AND THE HISTORICAL CONTRIBUTION MADE BY "TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD" IN ITS DRAMATIZATION OF THE EVOLUTION OF HUMAN RIGHTS IN THE SOUTH WILL CONTINUE TO BE EXPERIENCED BY EVERYONE IN PERPETUITY. MOCKINGBIRD COMPANY WILL CHARGE ADMISSION TO THE PERFORMANCES OF "TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD AND UTILIZE THE NET PROCEEDS FROM SUCH TICKET SALES TO PROVIDE SUPPLEMENTAL SUPPORT TO ALABAMA COMMUNITIES AS DESIGNATED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS, WITH PREFERENCE BEING GIVEN TO COMMUNITIES IN MONROE COUNTY, ALABAMA.

THE SPLC IS A CATALYST FOR RACIAL JUSTICE IN THE SOUTH AND BEYOND, WORKING IN PARTNERSHIP WITH COMMUNITIES TO DISMANTLE WHITE SUPREMACY, STRENGTHEN INTERSECTIONAL MOVEMENTS, AND ADVANCE THE HUMAN RIGHTS OF ALL PEOPLE.
